Find out more in the briefing paper below for today’s debate in the House of Lords on increasing registration of British citizens living abroad.

“During the Electoral Commission’s campaign for overseas voters before the UK parliamentary elections in 2010, just over 40,000 overseas voter registration forms were downloaded from its website.

For the elections in May 2015, the Electoral Commission has set itself a stretching target of 100,000 new registrations via the new on-line system  from British citizens living abroad.”
