London Olympics Security and the Military Covenant

On the British Military being again called upon in an emergency and taken from a BLOWER Comment cartoon July 13th in the Telegraph, with due acknowledgments to Rudyard Kipling:

O it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that an “Tommy go away”,

But it’s “Thank you, Mr Atkins” when he rescues Mrs. May

It’s not just for the security of the Olympic Games in London. Such was always the lot of the common soldier in the past and that includes  British WWII veteran Harry Shindler who is still fighting the British government for his right to vote in his country of birth.
