Harry Shindler vs the United Kingdom

Watch this entertaining video on YouTube of old soldier Harry Shindler, a long time resident in Italy.

He is talking about his experiences as a British soldier in WWII and his long, on-going struggle with the British government to regain the right to vote in UK national elections.

Expat Veteran Harry Shindler fights for the right to vote 

This right to vote according to current electoral law is denied him after 15 years or more living outside the United Kingdom, in his particular case as a British citizen resident in Italy.
